(News Portal – Dong Nai) - Recently, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Hoang, conducted a working session with the People's Committee of Nhon Trach District to discuss the industrial and commercial development in the district. The meeting was attended by leaders and representatives from various departments and units under the Department of Industry and Trade.

During the meeting, the People's Committee of Nhon Trach District proposed that the evaluation of local development indicators should be based on the growth values of industry, trade, services, and agriculture. As a result, the district suggested that the Statistics Office of the province provide specific data for each locality to effectively monitor, evaluate, and determine appropriate development directions.
Furthermore, the district put forward several recommendations concerning investment in commercial infrastructure, issues related to funding for the 22kV power line projects, and the expansion of Vietnamese Pride Stores throughout the district.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Hoang, urged local authorities to collaborate and work closely with relevant departments and units to review and address any difficulties and obstacles in industrial and commercial development within the area. Additionally, the recommendations pertaining to the local power sector should be thoroughly examined. In this regard, the local authorities should compile and submit investment solicitation lists for commercial infrastructure to the Department of Industry and Trade for inclusion in the provincial list.
Regarding the assessment of growth values in industry, trade, services, and agriculture, the province's leadership assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to review the recommendations put forth by the local authorities and provide suitable proposals for the consideration of the Provincial People's Committee. Moreover, the Department of Industry and Trade should continue to support the establishment of more Vietnamese Pride Stores within the district.
According to the People's Committee of Nhon Trach District, there are currently 9 concentrated industrial zones in the district. Furthermore, the district boasts the Phu Thanh - Vinh Thanh industrial cluster, which possesses relatively complete infrastructure. The district is home to a total of 9 traditional markets, 1 third-tier supermarket, 21 mini-supermarkets and convenience stores, as well as 4 Vietnamese Pride Stores. The annual retail sales of goods and services within the district have been growing at an average rate of over 25% per year.
