(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On May 29, the People's Committee organized a specialized workshop to review and synchronize the Dong Nai Provincial Planning with the Southeast Region Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Member of the Central Party Committee and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh chaired the workshop. Attending and co-chairing the meeting were Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cao Van Quang, and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Hoang Thi Bich Hang.

Central Party Committee Member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh delivered a directive speech at the meeting.
The Southeast Region
Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the
Prime Minister on May 4, 2024. In this planning, Dong Nai is identified as a
key regional transportation hub with many developmental advantages in the
coming time. Currently, the Dong Nai Provincial Planning for the period
2021-2030 is being finalized to be submitted to the Prime Minister for
approval. Therefore, reviewing and synchronizing the provincial planning with
regional planning is a crucial legal foundation for implementing the provincial
planning once approved.
In his directive speech at the workshop, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong
Linh emphasized that, based on clearly identifying the potential, advantages,
and specific characteristics of the locality with an airport and seaport,
departments, sectors, and localities must review any remaining content in the
provincial planning that is inconsistent with regional planning related to
industrial, agricultural, service, and urban development. This includes the
orientation of regional planning, development drivers, economic corridors, and
breakthrough stages to supplement, adjust, and update the provincial planning.
The principle is that provincial planning must comply with regional planning to
ensure synchronization. The goals and criteria set by the province must align
with the overall regional planning and must not be lower than the criteria set
by the regional planning.
In the conclusion of the meeting, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's
Committee Vo Tan Duc stated that the Southeast Region is identified as a key
economic region in the South, a dynamic development area, and a leading province
in the country and region in terms of economy, finance, education and training,
healthcare, science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation.

Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc delivered the concluding speech at the meeting.
At the conference announcing the Southeast Region Planning, the Prime Minister directed the six provinces and cities in the region to review their local planning based on the approved regional planning to make appropriate adjustments.
Therefore, departments, sectors, and localities must thoroughly study and identify the functions and tasks of their sector and locality to effectively implement the regional planning. It is particularly important to clearly define the role of Dong Nai in this planning.
Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc tasked the Department of Planning and Investment and the consulting unit with incorporating feedback, continuing to review the synchronization between the approved National Master Plan, National Sectoral Plans, Regional Plans, and the provincial planning to make necessary adjustments and finalize the various levels of planning. Additionally, in collaboration with departments and localities, they should incorporate feedback and complete the Provincial Planning before reporting to the Provincial People's Council to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
