(News Portal – Dong Nai) - The People's Committee of Dong Nai province has recently commended 19 foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) for their achievements in export activities and business production in the years 2022-2023. These FDI enterprises, operating within the province, have contributed significantly to the state budget by generating substantial revenue.

Pioneering the application of advanced technology in production
The FDI enterprises commended at the meeting with businesses organized by the People's Committee on March 28 are those that have met the criteria in implementing state regulations, pioneering in technology transformation, and ensuring the rights of workers. Examples include Cargill Vietnam Company Limited, Nestlé Vietnam Limited, Vietnam Dona Standard Footwear Co., Ltd, Bayer Vietnam Limited, and Espace Big C Dong Nai.
Cargill Vietnam Company Limited, located in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, has made remarkable contributions over the years. In Dong Nai province, Cargill operates two factories specializing in the production of animal feed, poultry, and seafood products, as well as supplements and additives. Cargill is one of the pioneering enterprises in the application and transformation of advanced and modern technology in production. With its efforts in business activities, Cargill contributed 219 billion VND in corporate income tax in 2023. Cargill has been operating in Vietnam since 1995 and currently employs approximately 1,400 employees.
In 2023, Cargill received several major awards, including the Best Workplace in Asia 2021-2023 Award, the Excellent Employee Care Business Award 2023, and the Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises 2022-2023 Award. In terms of community service activities, Cargill established the Cargill Cares Fund and has been actively involved in effective operations. Moreover, Cargill has actively implemented school construction programs in Dong Nai. To date, Cargill has built a total of 114 school facilities nationwide, including 5 in Dong Nai. Currently, Cargill aims to complete the goal of constructing 150 schools for Vietnam by 2030.
Ensuring the rights of workers
Present in Vietnam for the past 30 years, Chang Shin Vietnam Company Ltd. in Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Vinh Cuu district, is one of the outstanding FDI enterprises in the province. Chang Shin operates 3 factories in Dong Nai, including 2 factories in Vinh Cuu and Long Thanh districts established in 1994, and 1 factory established in 2020 in Tan Phu district. The total number of employees in these 3 factories is approximately 38,000. The average income of workers and office employees of the company remains stable at a satisfactory level.
Chang Shin currently has 3 strong organizations, including the Party base organization, the youth union organization, and the trade union, contributing to creating a professional and united working environment for Chang Shin and enhancing community sharing activities. Chang Shin's goal is to always create differences in production and business activities. Accordingly, Chang Shin aims to differentiate not only in production and products but also in excellent operations (cost, quality, delivery time, etc.). To achieve these goals, Chang Shin has developed strategies and a roadmap, including standardization, automation, and the establishment of a comprehensive digital system throughout the production process. Chang Shin always focuses on sustainability, which is related to the environment, people, and health.
As an FDI enterprise specializing in the retail sector, Espace Big C Dong Nai has become a prominent enterprise in the province's business production activities. Mr. Le Van Hong, Director of Big C Dong Nai supermarket, shared that Big C Dong Nai, an FDI retail enterprise, has been operating for many years in the province. Despite the difficult economic situation and strong market impact, Big C Dong Nai has continuously made efforts to maintain stable business operations, provide stable employment for workers, stabilize market prices, support farmers, and assist small and medium-sized enterprises. In particular, Big C has dedicated an area to display and sell local OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products to enhance support for farmers in product consumption. In addition to contributing to the market for goods consumption, Big C has fully fulfilled its tax obligations according to the prescribed deadlines. According to Mr. Hong, "Being recognized as one of the commendable enterprises is a source of pride for the company's leadership and employees. This will serve as a motivation for us to strive even harder in the future."
