​Since the beginning of the year, the livestock industry has faced many difficulties due to high input costs, especially animal feed. Meanwhile, the market for livestock products faces difficulties, causing the prices of livestock and poultry to tend to decrease than before. However, from the beginning of the year until now, livestock production in the area of Dinh Quan has maintained its growth rate.

Specifically, the total poultry herd in the district reached more than 1.4 million heads, up 1.45% over the same period last year; the total herd of pigs reached more than 121,000 heads, up 0.07% over the same period; the total herd of buffaloes and cows was nearly 9.4 thousand heads, up 0.03%. Poultry meat output supplied to the market was nearly 6.4 thousand tons, up more than 8.6% over the same period; pork reached more than 22.3 thousand tons, up 6.5% over the same period; The output of buffalo and beef meat reached more than 795 tons, an increase of more than 0.6%...
During the year, the district has performed well the prevention and control of diseases in livestock herds. In particular, the work of additional vaccination for livestock is concerned with diseases such as: foot-and-mouth disease, swine cholera, paratyphoid, pasteurellosis, Newcastle disease in poultry; Inflammatory skin disease on buffaloes and cows... The district has also implemented cleaning and disinfection before - during and after the 2022 Lunar New Year with a total spraying area of nearly 1.6 million m2.
As a result, in the district, only 1 case of cows with skin rash was detected. Other diseases are basically well controlled.
