Enterprises of Dong Nai and Kon Tum provinces signed a memorandum of cooperation at the trade connection conference between the two provinces.
In recent times, localities in these two areas have also regularly promoted trade connection activities, promoting and introducing their main products, especially specialties, agricultural products, and OCOP products (from the One Commune One Product Program). Thereby, this help expands the market, develops more consumption channels between provinces and cities in the two regions in particular and connects with other regions across the country in general.
In addition to regional trade connection programs, conferences, and exhibitions, many localities in the Southeast and Central Highlands also carry out many activities to connect and expand markets between provinces and cities.
In mid-July 2023, Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade and Kon Tum Department of Industry and Trade organized a conference to connect trade between local businesses and suppliers with Dong Nai's distribution system.
Deputy Director of Kon Tum Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Hung said that the conference was an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives of the two localities to introduce and promote their unique products and strengths. At the same time, it helped Dong Nai's supply chains exchange information and connect supply and demand with Kon Tum manufacturers. Thereby, it contributed to accessing and expanding consumption markets for strong local products.
Most recently, in early August, Long An Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade to organize a conference connecting trade and expanding the consumption market for strong products between the two localities. In particular, the conference focused on strong local products such as: tea, coffee, cocoa, dried agricultural products of Lam Dong province; lemon juices, dried specialty fruits, sausages, handicrafts, essential oils from dragon fruit seeds... from Long An businesses.
Deputy Director of Dong Nai Trade Promotion Center Nguyen Van Linh said that in recent times, Dong Nai has coordinated to organize and participate in many activities connecting businesses and cooperatives producing local specialties with distributors, including connection activities with businesses and localities in the Central Highlands region. In the future, the center will promote the implementation of activities connecting product consumption and agricultural products to Dau Giay agricultural and food wholesale market, large supply chains and retailers in the province, as well as continuing to participate in many trade connection activities with neighboring provinces, cities, and areas, including the Central Highlands region.
Director of Kon Tum Salanganes Nest Company Limited (Kon Tum province) Dang Xuan Hung, in addition to developing trade connection programs with businesses and distributors in provinces and cities across the country, including those in the Southeast region, the company is currently assigned by the locality to operate a chain of 4 stores promoting and introducing OCOP products.
“Over the period of operation, this chain of stores has operated quite effectively, contributing to promoting OCOP products of Kon Tum in particular and a number of provinces and cities across the country in general. In the coming time, the store chain will expand to connect more products from other localities, especially Dong Nai products" - Mr. Hung emphasized.
