At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang informed the delegation about the socio-economic situation of the province and the status of attracting foreign investment in the area. She further mentioned that the province has established the Japan Desk (previously the Kansai Desk) to support administrative investment procedures and address any arising issues during the investment and project implementation process in Dong Nai. Additionally, the province organizes annual dialogue conferences with businesses and conducts investment and trade promotion activities in Japan to provide information, attract investment, and address business concerns.

Mr. Nozaki Takao stated that JCCH currently has 1,057 Japanese member businesses, divided into 13 groups based on their field and area of operation, with over 140 Japanese businesses investing in Dong Nai. JCCH is the third largest Japanese business association among the 100 Japanese business associations abroad (following the associations in Shanghai and Bangkok).

He also noted that the cooperation model of Japan in Dong Nai, with the establishment of a Coordinating Group for Industrial Support Development and the organization of Vietnam-Japan business trade conferences since 2017, has been very successful and effective. Through the trade conference held in 2023, eight Vietnamese businesses became partners and suppliers for Japanese businesses. Therefore, JCCH intends to expand this cooperation model to other provinces and cities and hopes that Dong Nai will continue to accompany and support this effort.

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang acknowledged the suggestions of the new JCCH Chairman and instructed the relevant departments and sectors to plan a meeting with Japanese businesses in 2025. She also hoped that Mr. Nozaki Takao would continue to act as a bridge, introducing information about Dong Nai to Japanese businesses and bringing more Japanese businesses to cooperate and invest in the province in the future.

Currently, the province has attracted investment activities from 46 countries and territories, with a total of 1,652 projects and total registered capital of USD 34.61 billion. Among them, there are 278 projects from Japanese businesses with a total investment capital of over USD 5.23 billion, making Japan the third-largest foreign investor in Dong Nai.
