According to the report by
Directing Board, for the first 9 months of this year, 18 cooperatives have been
established, which reaches 90% compared with the annual plan. 23 cooperatives
have been reconstructed and 7 cooperatives being dissolved. Till now, the
province is running 299 cooperatives and 02 Cooperative Alliance with 49,413
members, 6,625 regular laborers and 100 thousand of seasonal laborers. The
average income is 16.6 million dongs/laborer/year and 14 million
dongs/member/year. Besides, there are now 700 cooperative groups and 15 Unions
of high-productivity clubs with more than 15,200 participants.
Addressing at the working
session, Mrs. Phan Thi My Thanh – Deputy Chairwoman of People’s Committee –
stated that the development of cooperatives should be sustainable. Additionally,
commercial and service-directed cooperatives should be multiplied, particularly
focus more on quality than quantity. The Directing Board also needs to
re-examine the operational effectiveness of these cooperatives at all fields so
that they can give directions to them to stimulate the operation of cooperative
economy.
