Inter-sectoral
inspectors work with Co.op Mart Supermarket |
The inspection results show that
Co.op Mart Bien Hoa seriously follows State’s laws and regulations on conditions
of food safety and hygiene such as location, environment to display, process and
sell foods, foods preservation store, business permit, etc. Most of its
commodities are daily checked with expiry dates. In addition, the supermarkets
has its sales agents’ health checked up, and holds training on knowledge of food
safety and hygiene to those who directly involved in the food processing.
However, some merchandise like vegetable seed, pork bologna and gracilaria, etc. did not match the labels. Sampling and
documenting the foodstuff after processed was done without care and no in line
with regulations.
The team also requires that in
the time to come, the supermarket should strengthen its examination on goods
labels and expiry dates. It proposed Bien Hoa city Health Department to conduct
examination on food dealers and producers hiring the supermarket’s space.
