In 2009, the provincial health
sector received and had 90 percent of tuberculosis patients treated in which 90
percent of them got cured. Also, the sector conducted 17,428 tests and found
3,400 patients.
In 2010, the targets it proposed
for tuberculosis control are that 3,276 patients will be found including 1,977
newly found and 249 suffering relapse; over 90 percent of patients will be under
management and treatment; 90 percent will get cured
completely; and 171/171 communes, wards and towns across the province will join
the multiple chemical therapy for tuberculosis control.
