Land clearance for Ho Chi Minh-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway project must be completed in a short time

On February 1, 2009 morning, the provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) on land clearance compensation in Ho Chi Minh-Long Thanh-Dau Giay highway project. The Vice-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai attended and presided over the meeting.

According to VEC, over the past time, districts that the highway passes have concentrated on implementing land clearance compensation. By now, Nhon Trach district, Long Thanh district, Cam My district, Thong Nhat district finished 100%, 65.8%, 94.9%, over 98% of land clearance respectively.

Addressing the meeting, the Vice-Chairperson of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai requested, to speed up land clearance of road passing Long Thanh district, the investor should directly work with localities quickly and specifically to find the most suitable solutions. Moreover, water supply and drainage for the project need to be deployed in a short time, ensuring the work progress rate.
