According to estimation of district and branches, Long Thanh has about 7000 households to set resettlement when planning significant projects on the area. There, about 2,300 households belonged to project of Long Thanh International Airport. In April of 2006, Provincial People’s Committee approved Long Thanh People’s Committee for being investment master and planning in particular 8 resettlement and residential areas including communes of Tam Phuoc, Long Duc, Long An, Binh Son, Tan Hiep, Long Phuoc and along 2 sides of 25B Road. Later, project of 18.8 ha belonged to Long An Commune had been cancelled because of being stuck on projects of railway and Bien Hoa-Ba Ria-Vung Tau highway. It is anticipated that every household will be set 300 m2 to resettle. However, in above areas there isn’t still enough land reserve to grant households as well as develop social substructures such as: schools, medical stations, markets, inner transportation… for serving new residential areas.
Base on comparison of current land use in local and map of Long Thanh oriented project given by Department of Construction in 2010, all delegates agree to add more new resettlement sites including 200 ha on the right of 769 Street from 51 National Road into ( across Loc An, Binh Son Communes) and 35 ha of Long An commune. It is estimated this 235 ha can satisfy residence of 3,000 households with enough areas for construction of social substructures.
At working session, Deputy Chairman Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai insists “Forces and Branches finish promptly project in particular of resettlement areas to stabilize people’s life and shorten time of construction. Besides, investment masters should pay attention to accompany social constructions to stabilize people’s life”
After working session, delegations carried out a field trip to new resettlement sites added.
