Announcement ceremony of project of Long Thanh international airport

Long Thanh international airport has total area of 5000 hectares, is located on the areas of communes: Long Phuoc, Long An, Binh Sơn, Suoi Trau, Bau Can and Cam Duong. Until now, 4 main landmarks and 150 temporary landmarks have been set up to define airport boundary. At the beginning of construction, about 10000 households of 6 communes have to move. At the ceremony, Provincial People’ Committee also proclaims regulations of land management, construction and agricultural production on the scale of projected boundary of Long Thanh airport such as: building, dividing into plots, transferring, and exchanging of land. These regulations has specified, without any solutions for offering documents of transferring land usage from agricultural to non- agricultural land which are opposite to projection. Building separate houses on the scale of boundary only has been licensed temporarily in a limitary time according to the time of carrying out international airport construction.

According to schedule to 2015s, a part of Long Thanh airport will be served for reducing customers from Tan Son Nhat international airport. Long Thanh international airport has 4 airlines (4000m x 60m) along with works of airplane parking, customer section, maintaining section, fuel dump; administrative section and other additional buildings. When finished, this airport will receive 100 million of customers and 5 tons of goods every year. The airport has been built according to F4 level which can get A380-800 airplane or familiar ones. It is anticipated that first-period capital is about 32 thousands of billion
