The
conference’s view |
This project, financially
supported by Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), started on
September 2007 and ended on June 2010. Its target was to define and prevent
increasing problems of water pollution in Tri An lake and Dong Nai downriver.
Specifically, it identified the link between land use methods of local
communities, introduced better production ways to communities living near the
lake and Dong Nai river downstream, gave support to build strategies for clear
water and environmental hygiene for all parties involved in the use of water
source in the project’s area, enhanced individuals and communities’ ability in
effective natural resources management to carry out lasting living activities,
and established a information system in socio-economic and ecological benefits
due to a decrease in water source pollution. Its findings will be a significant
condition to propose methods of blocking water pollution in Tri An lake and Dong
Nai downriver, contributing to a sustainable development.
