On July 16, the People’s Committee of Nhon Trach district has announced the 1/2,000 detailed planning of Nhon Trach’s new urban area.

As planned, the new Nhon Trach city centre is located in such three communes as Long Tan, Vinh Thanh and Phuoc An with a total area of 600.94ha. Nhon Trach district is expected to become a grade-II urban centre by 2010, and then toward a grade-I one with a total population of 600,000.

This new modern centre has an infrastructure built synchronously and completely in many aspects; and it can become a key centre of neighboring areas.

The investment of new Nhon Trach urban city will be classified into 4 phrases from now to 2020, each of which is connected to the development of commerce, public construction, and housing units at the high and average density.

Reportedly, the project is conducted with the investment capital from domestic and foreign enterprises.
