That the rice price in the market has ceaselessly fallen for about ten days now worries the farmers. At present, rice in Dong Nai is only priced at VND3.900 to VND4000/kg, down by VND2000 compared to earlier this year. The reason accounting for this fall is that the rice price has recently dropped in the world market. Price of rice exported by domestic enterprises is charged at $300/ton, down $100-$130/ton in comparison with earlier March 2010. Moreover, rice amount the firms have kept in stores is quite much while it is now in late autumn-spring rice harvest.
