Over the first half tenure, Party Committee of DOST has well led and organized carrying out management, direction, and development of science and technology in the province. Scientific and technological activities have showed the role in combination with the province’s targets and socio-economic missions. Contents of scientific research has connection with production reality and life in localities.
From the early tenure to now, DOST has held classes for training and issuing A-level computer skill certificates to over 5,000 cadres of communes and hamlets, built 63 science and technology information sites, launched broadly movements of technical innovation in labor and production, counsel the provincial People’s Committee on construction of Biotech Application Center, etc. Particularly, DOST has received the First Grade Labor Medal from the State President. Besides, its party committee also focused on training, fostering political theories of cadres, party members, so in 2008 and 2009, it has admitted ten more members into its party.

The congress determined that, in the last midtenure, it will build and bring into full play its inner force to the utmost, expand relationships with offices, units, institutes, scientists in and out the province to implement well scientific administration, enhance management in combination with science and technology information forms for socialization of science, do its utmost to make it become an example of a clean and strong party committee over successive years and develop fifteen more party members, etc.
In the Congress, two outstanding individuals excellently fulfilling five-year mission have been awarded certificates of merits of the provincial Party Committee.
The congress also selected two representatives to participate in the higher level party congress.
