The Federation of Scientific and Technological Associations of the province deploys its missions in 2010 On March 2 afternoon, 2010, the provincial Federation of Scientific and Technological Associations held a conference to wrap up its activities in 2009 and deploy its orientation and missions in 2010. Mr. Le Hong Phuong – Standing Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee, Ms Bui Ngoc Than, Head of Public Relation Committee of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Toi, Department Head of Propaganda and Training of the provincial Party Committee, Ms. Huynh Thi Nga, Vice-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee attended the conference. Mr. Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee gave a speech as guidance at the conference In 2009, although facing a lot of difficulty in human resources, the Federation has still got positive results in every activity such as deployment of research, application, scientific and technological dissemination and popularization, consultancy, social survey, etc.   Moreover, the Federation admitted two more associations (Human Resources and Talent Development Association and Dong Nai Lawyer Delegation), voted 4 members into the executive board, admitted 15 more individuals, 4 collectives, increasing its associations to 22 with 10,000 membership. Accordingly, its missions for 2010 will be to carry out transition projects of the province according to Decision 21 and 247 of the government, deploy projects on communication about environmental protection and research project “Reality, Solutions for district-level scientific and technological management promotion of Dong Nai province till 2015 and vision till 2010”, establish two more centers for scientific and technological application and transfer, etc.   Farmers attended communication about environmental protection, held by the Federation in districts. Giving a speech as guidance, Mr. Le Hong Phuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee highly appreciated efforts of the Federation in the last year. At the same time, he says, although the number of intellectuals is high for the time being, there are still some problems in the structure with lack of high-level intellectuals and leading scientists. Moreover, building and organizing its associations haven’t been paid much attention, leading to low effectiveness. Bringing and applying research and application in life haven’t been limited, etc.  Therefore, he requested that in the coming time the Federation should continue to reinforce and develop this organization, bring into full play intellectuals’ role and contributions in terms of efforts and intelligence to consultancy work, criticism, and social survey, and enhance disseminating and popularizing scientific knowledge in life, and special production in agricultural and rural fields.
