In early days, DIZA only had two industrial zones situated on an area of 464 hectares but up to now it has had 29 zones of 8,216 hectares.

65 percent of DIZA's total land area has been leased. Particularly, seven of its zones are fully leased.

DIZA’s foreign investment attraction in the last 15 years has always reached or exceeded targets.

In 2005, there were only 32 investment projects with a total capital of US$1.3 billion.

However, the number of foreign investment projects was 805 totaling US$11.8 billion and that of domestic ones was 283 totaling VND26 trillion late 2009.

DIZA attracts 25,000 to 30,000 laborers every year.

DIZA now has more than 340,000 workers.

With its constant efforts, DIZA was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal in 2003 and the Second Class Labor Medal in 2005 by the State President.
