Eight out of nine major industries show an increase in production over the same period last year

According to Dong Nai People's Committee’s report, Industries and Construction for the first quarter of 2010 was estimated at VND26.0126 trillion, representing 25.6% compared to assigned goals and rising by 18.2% over the same period last year.

Particularly, the industrial production value reached nearly VND24 trillion. Eight out of nine major industries: Building Materials, Foodstuff, Textile – Footwear, Wood and Bamboos, Industrial Chemicals, Rubber – Plastics, Machinery and Electricity – Electronics showed an increase in production over the same period last year. Power and Water reached 95.3% over the same period.

The construction sector was estimated to hit VND1.105 trillion for the 1st quarter of 2010, going up by 19.2% and representing 26% compared to assigned goals.
