D &
F’s products are being packaged |
D&F is a
member company of the Dong Nai Industrial Food Corporation. D&F started
operation in late 2007. Up to the present, D&F has become a well-known brand
name to consumers. Currently, D & F has a daily capacity of 2,000 chickens and
100 pigs and a processing capacity of 2 tons per day and makes more than 30
processed items, including traditional products like lean pork paste, pig’s head
paste, pork hash wrapped in banana leaf, Chinese sausages and modern products
using European technology like sausages and smoked products. At present, D & F's
products are being sold at its two main stores and four big agents in Bien Hoa
city, in Big C, in Coopmart, in Vinatex and in Lottermart. In the first nine
months of 2009 alone, D & F has supplied 2,542 tons of food for Dong Nai and Ho
Chi Minh city markets, as much as 160% compared to 2008. The products mainly
consumed here are raw meat.

D & F is
always committed to the quality of products to its customer and ensures food
safety and hygiene from its input raw materials. Especially, its food is always
preserved in temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius, even during
transportation. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phuong, D & F’s acting director said: “Thanks to
our quality control and closed process from breeding and processing to being
served at dining tables, we ensure no growth hormones and antibiotic residues in
all our products”. D & F was selected as Vietnamese high-quality product by
consumers in 2009.

In addition to
the quality improvement and diversification of its processed food items, D & F
always pays attention to protecting intellectual property, setting up and
strengthening an identification system, which will contribute to making D & F a
strong brand name. D & F has received a logo certificate from the Bureau for
Intellectual Property. In the forthcoming time, D & F will increase its level of
protection for many other products in order that it could gain a foothold on
domestic and foreign markets.
D&F is
expected to supply 1,614 tons of products of all kinds for the market in the
last months of 2009 and to focus on processed products. These items will be
distributed through channels: supermarkets, stores and its agents.
Simultaneously, D & F’s products will be directly brought to customers via the
program “Vietnamese Products Go to Rural Areas” organized by Dong Nai Department
of Trade and Industry, sold at its mobile sales vehicles and distributed through
new channels: traditional markets, agents and retail shops in Dong Nai and Ho
Chi Minh.
