The meeting

manufacturers and service providers from urban and residential areas in Dong Nai
in 2009”. Plans will be implemented on September 20, 2009 as planned.
Particularly, a specialist group has been formed. Its function is to cooperate
with the People’s Committees of districts in taking a second look at the list of
local pollution-prone manufacturers and those in residential areas, compiling a
new list and reporting it to the Steering Committee. The specialist group will
collaborate with the Departments, Sectors and Localities in making a detailed
plan to relocate pollution-prone manufacturers and service providers in the
province from urban and residential areas until late 2010. Vice chairman of Dong
Nai People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee – Dinh Quoc Thai said
that a detailed plan would be implemented between November 20 and 25, 2009 and a
list of relocated pollution-prone manufacturers in urban and residential areas
would be announced. Concerned committees and sectors are supposed to raise their
awareness of responsibility and assist relocated manufacturers by providing
finance and construction land for them in order that they can continue their
production and avoid polluting the environment.
