There have been more 41 new investment projects over the first six months of 2009

Over the first six months of 2009, Dong Nai province’s total investment capital has exceeded 13.5% of the year plan goals, 3.7 times as much as the same period last year.

Particularly, there have been 41 new investment projects with a total registered capital of over VND22,650 billion and one project with an increased capital of VND13 billion. Up to now, Dong Nai province has had 165 domestic investment projects in valid. These projects have a total registered capital of VND71,300 billion or US$4.2 billion. Of these projects, there are 112 ones outside industrial parks while the rest is located in industrial parks.

Also in the first 6 months of the year, the total registered capital of privately-owned businesses is VND7,000 billion, accounting 36.8% of the plan goals, equal to 80.7% over the same period. There have been 1,000 new business start-ups with a registered capital of VND4,000 billion, up 3.7% over the same period. 280 businesses have registered for a capital increase. Until late June, 2009, the whole province has over 9,000 businesses with a total registered capital of over VND55,500 billion.
