thanks to the efforts of the entire Party, army and people, our country
gradually surmounted dificulities and negative impacts caused by the global
financial crisis, natural disasters and diseases and continued obtaining great
achievements in all aspects of politics, economy, culture, society and security
and national defense. Increasingly, Vietnam’s status in the world has been
raised. This victory once again affirms the strength of the great national unity
bloc, the correctness of the Party and the State’s policies and the inner
strength of our country.
The clock is
going to strike twelve. The New Year of the Tiger is coming. I would like to
give my best wishes to all compatriots, comrades and soldiers all over the
country and all overseas Vietnamese as well. I would like to extend my wishes
for peace, friendship, cooperation and development to all nations in the world.
The State and the People of Vietnam thank all nations and international
organizations sincerely for their friendship and practical cooperation. We will
do our best for all nations’ prosperity and development.

compatriots, comrades and soldiers all over the country!
2010 is the last year to implement our five-year plan
(2006-2010). It is the year to hold the 11th Congress Party at all levels. Also,
2010 is a year with many great celebrations: the 80th anniversary of the
Founding of Vietnam Communist Party; the 65th anniversary of the Birth of the
Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long – Ha Noi,
the 120th birthday of the President Ho Chi Minh and the 35th anniversary of
Southern Liberation and National Unification Day. For this reason, we must
deploy all our resources, develop our abilities to work, learn and create most
effectively and complete targets set by the 10th National Party Congress and the
National Assembly (Session XII) successfully.
If our Party,
army and people strengthen solidarity and join hands with all our heart, we will
absolutely have much success.
